Job Description:

The Configuration and Deployment Technician (C&D Tech) within ADOT’s Information Technology Group (ITG) is responsible for supporting the full lifecycle of IT hardware for the agency. Key duties include:

• Managing IT hardware procurement, lifecycle, and inventory functions
• Picking and stocking IT hardware in/out of secure inventory
• Conducting weekly and monthly physical inventory processes
• Maintaining policies, standards, and systems for effective IT asset portfolio management including cost control, compliance, risk management, and IT governance
• Assisting with obtaining hardware quotes and receiving equipment from vendors
• Configuring and deploying IT equipment to internal and external customers in the Phoenix area
• Processing end-of-life equipment for disposal according to standards and procedures

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Experience:
• 1-3 years in IT asset lifecycle management, service level monitoring, compliance reporting
• 1-3 years with IT asset management tools and discovery products
• 1-3 years facilitating hardware purchases with vendors and customers
• 1-3 years experience with Active Directory, Windows 10/11, MS System Center Configuration Manager, and ServiceNow HAM
• Minimum 7 years of total IT experience in a related field
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency with Microsoft productivity tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) — 3-5 years
• Google Suite experience — 3-5 years
• Knowledge of Ethernet networking terminology and troubleshooting
• Computer hardware configuration and troubleshooting skills
• Advanced troubleshooting, problem definition, and alternative analysis
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent written and verbal business communication skills
• Face-to-face customer service experience
• Requirements gathering and financial management knowledge
• Understanding of procurement rules and regulations
• Other:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred
• Must have a current Arizona driver’s license with a good driving record
