Job Title: Salesforce Field Service Lightning (FSL) Consultant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Salesforce Field Service Lightning (FSL) Consultant to support our client—a leading utility company in the US—in optimizing and enhancing their field service operations using the Salesforce platform. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience implementing and configuring Salesforce FSL for utility or similar field-service-intensive industries, and a strong understanding of utility workflows, dispatch management, and mobile workforce enablement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Salesforce FSL solutions to support field service operations for the utility business.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements, define user stories, and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Configure key FSL features including Work Orders, Service Appointments, Scheduling Policies, Dispatcher Console, and Mobile Configuration.
• Integrate FSL with other Salesforce clouds (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud) and third-party systems such as GIS, ERP, or mobile apps.
• Develop and implement process improvements for workforce management, scheduling, asset tracking, and service reporting.
• Train business users and field technicians on FSL tools and mobile apps.
• Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, workflows, and custom components.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and production deployments.
• Provide post-deployment support and enhancements as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 4–6+ years of experience with Salesforce platform implementations.
• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Field Service Lightning (FSL) .
• Proven experience working in or consulting for the utility or energy industry is highly preferred.
• Deep understanding of FSL concepts: Service Territories, Resources, Work Types, Maintenance Plans, Time Sheets, Skills, and Service Level Agreements.
• Familiarity with Dispatcher Console , Optimization Engine , and Mobile Workforce Enablement .
• Experience integrating FSL with GIS, legacy systems, or ERP solutions is a plus.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce Lightning components, Apex, Flows, and SOQL.
• Salesforce certifications:
• Field Service Consultant (Required)
• Salesforce Administrator and/or Platform App Builder (Preferred)

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a cross-functional team environment.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience with AMI, outage management, meter-to-cash workflows, or grid asset management.
• Exposure to Utility-specific standards and compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with ClickSoftware (legacy) is a plus.
