**This is a full time position working night shift as a Resource Nurse at Northwest Medical Center.**

The Resource RN Supports high-quality, patient-centered care by offering feedback, guidance, and mentoring to new graduate nurses and nurses transitioning to a new specialty.
Provides guidance and education on the hospital's standard of nursing practice, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with all accrediting and regulatory agency requirements. Escalates concerns about nursing skills, patient care, policies, processes, and equipment as appropriate.
Provides feedback on nursing assessments, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care. Serves as an example of professional nursing practice and promotes nursing for the organization, the community, and the healthcare industry. Rounds on new hires, specifically New Grads, in coordination with the hospital general educator.
**RN Responder for Brain Attack Team.** Attends rapid responses and codes as needed to observe, provide feedback, and debrief, facilitate education, direction, and coaching before, during, and after the rapid response or code as indicated.
Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse. Performs a wide variety of tasks. Typically reports to a House Supervisor, manager or head of a unit/department.
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides patient-centered care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality care based on established clinical protocols and physician/provider orders. The RN collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care and desired outcomes, while maintaining a supportive and compassionate environment for patients and their families.

**Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements**
Education:
Required: Associates or Diploma in nursing program
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing
Experience:
2 or more years experience as a RN in critical care setting
Licenses/Certifications:
Required: Current Arizona RN license or compact state license
American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) BLS and ACLS
