Job Title: Purchasing Manager

Location: High Point, NC | Onsite

About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Purchasing Manager to oversee all aspects of inventory control, purchasing, and logistics operations. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires the development and execution of efficient processes and procedures to drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will bring strong management skills, an analytical mindset, and a strategic approach to procurement and logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervisory Duties:

  • Manage, hire, and train staff across the Purchasing, Stockroom, and Shipping departments.
  • Collaborate with other department leaders to assess inventory needs and stock levels.

Operational Duties:

  • Strategically plan and lead purchasing, inventory, and logistics operations.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and manufacturers to secure quality products and competitive pricing.
  • Monitor and improve quality, quantity, delivery times, transport costs, and overall operational efficiency.
  • Resolve issues that arise across purchasing and logistics functions.
  • Meet and exceed targets for cost control, accuracy, and on-time delivery.
  • Maintain and analyze metrics to drive performance improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, legal, and internal policy requirements.
  • Oversee final product shipments according to customer expectations.
  • Establish and enforce operational policies and best practices.
  • Prepare and present reports to senior management.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership and staff management experience.
  • Strong background in purchasing, inventory, distribution, and logistics.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with laws and regulations related to domestic and international shipping.
  • Hands-on experience with warehouse and stockroom operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements and manage KPIs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • College degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of logistics and operations management experience.
