Position Overview This role is perfect for an aspiring CMO, eager to drive impact across every facet of marketing at a fast-growing startup. As our Marketing Director, you’ll help us bring our mission of helping families capture and preserve their stories to millions of families around the world. Reporting directly to our CEO & Co-Founder Charlie, you’ll be responsible for leading the company's marketing strategy and execution to drive customer acquisition, retention, and growth. You’ll help shape our strategy, and then you’ll split your time between managing a network of vendors and rolling up your own sleeves and executing yourself. Key Responsibilities Strategy Development: Develop and implement marketing strategies that align with company goals, identify target audiences, and create effective positioning to drive growth and brand awareness. Brand Management: Oversee and help shape the company's brand identity, ensuring consistency across all channels while making strategic decisions based on company values and the competitive landscape. Product Marketing: Drive successful product adoption through effective go-to-market strategies, compelling positioning, and targeted campaigns that increase awareness and customer acquisition. Revenue Generation & Campaign Management: Optimize conversion funnels, implement growth tactics, and execute revenue-focused initiatives that directly impact the company's bottom line. Content Creation: Develop and execute a compelling content strategy across multiple formats, including video, blog posts, email marketing, and social media, to educate, inspire, and convert potential customers. Performance Analysis: Measure and analyze marketing metrics to evaluate campaign effectiveness, track ROI, and leverage data insights to optimize future marketing initiatives and spending. Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing marketing team, plus collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, and Customer Experience, to ensure marketing initiatives align with product roadmaps and customer insights. Experience 7-10 years of marketing experience, specifically in direct-to-consumer e-commerce. Proven track record working in early-stage companies (Pre Series D), with close proximity to the founding team. Experience building and leading marketing teams in fast-paced environments. Demonstrated success in both strategic planning and tactical execution. Skills & Knowledge Deep understanding of direct-to-consumer marketing strategies and tactics. Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. Experience with digital acquisition channels and performance marketing. Strategic thinking with meticulous attention to detail. Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment with limited resources. Location We offer a hybrid work environment of three days per week spent in our Culver City office.
