Computer Savvy, HR onboarding Admin Assistant for staffing agency in Park Ridge, IL

Our agency, located in Park Ridge, IL provides staffing and recruiting solutions to our clients across the United States. We are seeking a committed administrative assistant to join our team. Knowledge of employee onboarding and compliance is desired, but will train someone with a strong attention to details that is looking for a long term, stable position with growth possibilities. Training on all aspects of our business will be provided. This position pays a very competitive hourly wage and benefits package with indoor parking; a socially distant working environment & productivity pay incentives.

Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30AM – 5PM 40 hours paid per week

Responsibilities

• Onboarding employees that have been selected by our clients utilizing a fully developed computer-based approach.
• Initiating all background checks with multiple vendors as needed.
• Monitoring timesheets via an internet-based timesheet program for all contractors
• Communicating with employees to manage the onboarding process and to clients regarding timesheet discrepancies or those needing to be approved.
• Preparing payroll summary sheets for biweekly payroll and managed the process of scanning invoices every two weeks.
• Interacting with accountant to provide all necessary info for payroll purposes
• Onboarding candidates into health insurance program
• Answering phones, handling mail, & filing as needed as part of the position.
• Thorough and accurate documentation of all communication with contractors and clients in contact management program.
• Communication with employees to manage the onboarding process & timesheets.

Requirements

• Min of a high school degree; AS preferred.
• Strong proficiency with typing, MS Word, and Outlook and navigating in computers in general.
• Strong verbal and writing skills.
• Strong to desire to learn (there is a lot to learn in this position).
• Must be reliable be here five days a week; Mondays and Fridays are very busy.
