Harrison Gray Search has partnered with a premier firm providing commercial property and casualty insurance products and services through independent agents across several states. Our client's strong local presence ensures that underwriting and support remain close to their customers.

The Role:

As an Executive Commercial Lines Underwriter, you will manage and expand an assigned book of business while acquiring new clients. You will assess individual risks, determine terms and pricing, and work with agents and brokers to build and maintain productive relationships. Additionally, you will provide informal leadership to less experienced underwriters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Underwrite new and renewal business by evaluating applications and making risk decisions in line with company guidelines.
• Collaborate with agents and brokers, and maintain a productive loss ratio.
• Support product development and pricing, and engage in territory-based customer development and relationship building.
• Participate in continuing education and assist in training.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in insurance or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of commercial lines underwriting experience or similar.
• Strong analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to interpret business and regulatory information and maintain professional interactions.

If within commutable distance to the Little Rock office, this role will be hybrid. For candidates outside of a commutable distance, but within the state of Arkansas or Oklahoma, this role will be remote.
